The Celebrity DUI / DWI Round Up is a monthly write-up highlighting celebrities recently featured in the news after being arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving.

Some of the celebrities seen in this monthly list choose to hire a qualified DUI defense attorney to help them explore their legal options and defend their rights after an arrest.

However, some celebrities simply decide to plead guilty to the charges against them without a challenge, even though it may be possible to fight the charges.

At Levow DWI Law, P.C., our attorneys believe that it is important for everyone (celebrity or not) to understand all of their legal options after being arrested on charges of intoxicated driving.

In fact, an experienced DUI / DWI attorney can often formulate a strong defense that can result in your charges being dropped or can result in lesser penalties associated with your arrest.

Celebrities Arrested On Intoxicated Driving Charges In December

Former NFL Star Arrested For DUI In Oklahoma

Justin Blackmon was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving in December after police pulled over his vehicle in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

According to reports, the former Jackson Jaguar was driving a Jeep Wrangler at the time of the arrest, which occurred during the early hours of December 19th.

Blackmon’s vehicle was pulled over at around 3:45am after police officers noticed a non-working brake-light on the vehicle.

The official police report from the arrest states that the officer smelled alcohol coming from Blackmon’s vehicle during the traffic stop and that Blackmon had admitted to consuming two drinks at a local bar earlier in the night.

The police report also states that Blackmon was slurring his words when responding to the officer’s questions.

The officer at the scene asked Blackmon to perform several field sobriety tests, which he allegedly failed.

Blackmon was then arrested on charges of Driving Under the Influence and taken to Carter County Jail.

The 29-year-old actor and musician, Drake Bell, was arrested in December on suspicion of DUI in Glendale, CA.

According to reports, the former star of Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh was pulled over by Glendale police at approximately 2am after officers saw his vehicle driving erratically and abruptly stopping at a red light.

Police say that Bell failed a field sobriety test which had been administered after officers smelled alcohol coming from his vehicle.

Bell was then arrested on suspicion of DUI and taken to a local jail where he posted bail for $20,000.
