Celebrity DUI Arrest

The Celebrity DUI / DWI Roundup is a monthly article that covers recent DUI arrests and news involving noteworthy celebrities.

The intention of this article is not to simply point out the fact that certain celebrities were arrested on DUI charges, but is instead meant to highlight the legal options available to those who have been arrested for driving under the influence.

At Levow DWI Law, P.C., our DUI defense attorneys are committed to helping all drivers understand their legal rights following a drunk driving arrest. Unfortunately, many drivers arrested on DUI charges simply "fall on the sword" by pleading guilty to the charges against them before considering all of their legal options. The truth is that DUI cases can be challenged and they can be won.

Our DUI defense lawyers have successfully defended the rights of many celebrities and non-celebs in DUI cases in the past. Additionally, we work very hard to protect our clients' rights to privacy which means that you will not see our clients in the news following their drunk driving arrests.

Celebrities DUI News From October 2016

This month’s edition of the Celebrity DUI / DWI Roundup includes news about three NFL players (past and present) who were arrested on DUI charges.

Minnesota Vikings Cut Practice Squad Lineman After DUI Arrest

The Minnesota Vikings recently cut Isame Faciane, an offensive lineman on the team’s practice squad, after he was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

According to news reports, police pulled over Faciane on Wednesday, October 8th, after the offensive lineman allegedly weaved around construction barriers and start heading down the wrong way of the highway.

Faciane was ultimately arrested at 2:33 AM in St. Louis Park, MN on charges of 4th degree DWI and driving without a Minnesota driver’s license.

“My thoughts are that it’s disappointing and that’s one of the things I’m trying to get rid of around here, making sure that our fans are being represented in the right way,” Zimmer said. “It was stupid, and we’ll see.’’

Los Angeles Rams’ Safety T.J. McDonald Pleads ‘Not Guilty’ In DUI Case

T.J. McDonald recently plead not guilty to a DUI charge stemming from an arrest back in May 2016. The Los Angeles Rams’ safety was arrested on non-alcohol related DUI charges on May 10th, 2016 after crashing into a parked car on the 22900 block of Gershwin Drive in Woodland Hills, California.

McDonald’s attorney appeared in court in early October where he pled not guilty to the charges on behalf of McDonald.

The judge ordered the NFL safety to attend two AA meetings each week until his next court appearance scheduled for later in the month.

Former Pittsburgh Steeler Pleads ‘Guilty’ To DUI Charges

Former Pittsburgh Steeler Jon Witman recently pled guilty to DUI charges stemming from an arrest in February 2016.

The former NFL fullback was arrested on DUI charges on February 4th, 2016 after being involved in a one-vehicle accident in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania.

Witman appeared in York County Court with a DUI defense attorney on Thursday, October 6th, where he pled guilty to driving under the influence of controlled substances.
